The Middlebury Police Commission meets the second Monday monthly at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Conference Room. The public is invited to attend.
The Police Commission consists of five members, elected for terms of four (4) years. Three Commissioners are elected at the Town election next held after the effective date of this Charter
and two Commissioners at the Town election held next thereafter. Alternately thereafter, newly elected Commissioners succeed those whose terms expire.
In addition to performing such duties and functions as are provided in the General Statutes, the Commissioners are responsible for recommending a person to the Board of Selectmen for appointment as
Chief of Police. Such person shall have training and experience as specified in the position description on file with the Town Clerk.
